Vendor services are requested by employees and, with subscriptions and licenses, for employees. Aligning individuals to a service is a best practice method to ensure both need and compliance is maintained.  M3 makes it easy to control this alignment and track any changes caused by a transient workforce.

  • Service Owner – the requestor of a service or group of services that should be consulted prior to renewal or cancellation
  • Subscriber – the end-User of a subscription or license who’s departure should trigger a service cancellation or inventory increase
  • M3 Owner – the person responsible for maintaining the data of a service within the M3 environment

To add an employee to a service

  1. Open up a service detail record by selecting the blue SVC-xx link
  2. Select the Ownership tab in the middle of the page
  3. Select the Edit link on the right hand side of page
  4. Select the Add button and search for the person by typing his/her name into the search bar
  5. Select or add the desired User
